Innovative Dehumidifier Systems

I purchased Innovative Dehumidifier IW25-5 in wall unit to install in my basement. After about 3 weeks it turned off and would not come back on. The customer service representative recommended changing out the Control Board and Display board and offered to ship both to me. After spending more than an hour ensuring I had the boards installed correctly (entailed taking the unit out of the wall as well), it began running. That was the good news. The bad news is that it was extremely noisy- you can hear it running on the main level. After calling Innovative back, they recommended uninstalling it and shipping it back to them to further trouble shoot. This company has no service representatives to provide service at your home. After spending $1,100 on the unit and having these issues within 2 months, I would caution anyone considering buying it. It is junk. In addition, in order to access the control board to adjust humidity settings or assess error codes, you need to remove the front panel (6 screws) which is not overly convenient

Ordered an I 25 dehumidifier and it came damaged by UPS. Ordered an I25-4 directly from Innovative after a prompt return and refund. Installed the new one and it works great! Thank you Daniel Travis of Innovative for your prompt and professional service.

I'm a residential contractor and I installed this unit for one of my customers in their basement (new construction). The unit is definitely high quality and well constructed. Attractive and quiet operation. I will use this product in the future anytime a wall-mounted unit will work. Only small complaint is that the manual didn't mention one wiring connection that is necessary for the filter monitor to work properly. (This is a first-generation model and perhaps the manual has been updated by now?) But I called the company and Tech Support was top notch and got me up and running again quickly. Highest marks to IDS!

Great product and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!! Bought 2 of these for the first time a few weeks ago and my guys installed them in a physical therapy ward. They were a breeze to install! The humidity had been averaging 50-60% in the space but now is being maintained at 40%. Thanks Innovative Dehumidifier Systems!

Innovative dehumidifier IW-25-4 ***highly disappointed*** 6+ months of issues Upon finding the product I was very interested in placing this unit in my new home. I was excited about the innovative and different approach to save space. Received the shipment and installed a couple months later because some on the construction was being finished. The dehumidifier worked great for about 2 months and then started 6+ month of issues and eventually the disposal of this Innovative dehumidifier IW-25-4. The representatives at Innovative dehumidifier were extremely helpful in sending many replacement parts but none of the parts corrected the problem. After 6-8 weeks troubleshooting this I had written the dehumidifier off as a loss but against my better judgement I decided to ship the unit back to the company for repair. They received the unit and stated some parts were installed wrong. Don’t know how that’s possible as there is only one way to install the supplied parts with specific plugs. Innovative dehumidifier claimed they repaired the issue and shipped the unit back to me on their dime. Nice gesture on their part. After speaking with the representative he advised the unit was repaired and was in working order. I received the package and placed it in a temporary location to test if the unit was fixed or if problems would continue. At this time I have very little faith in their product. The unit worked great for about a week then the same issues started. Several codes, clicking noises and eventually the unit shutting itself down. At this point I was extremely frustrated not only had I spent $1100 on the unit another $80 to ship it back for repair or non repair. In summary this unit is a lemon and I’m stuck with no recourse other than continue to ship it back for repair or trash it. They want to keep troubleshooting the unit. I no longer wish to invest more time or money in this defective unit. I would not recommend this overpriced unit for your dehumidification needs. Buy one from the big box store or 5 and you will come out way ahead. In summary Im extremely disappointed with Innovative dehumidifiers and will stay with the Japanese made products that work without issue.

Bought a dehumidifier from IDS for in wall installation. Had excellent support from initial purchase and procuring of spare parts (Henry suggested I cancel order for some items because I didn't need them after placing online order), to initial installation, to figuring out how an after market sump pump could be integrated into the dehumidifying system. Product is great, support is excellent as well. Henry (customer support) has been a big help. If you're considering an in wall dehumidifier as a solution, I'd recommend reaching out to IDS. They will help you make a good choice and support the purchase in after market.

Hey folks, had really great results with this product ,very good finish and end result beats my expectations ,easy to install and straight forward as where jim and his people in the whole process , and very helpful to boot ! definitely will use again when the need arises.

Great unit and easy installation. Very satisfied with the virtually hands free operation of the unit and its performance. Just set the humidity level and forget about it. I can tell a significant difference in our ground level. I highly recommend this product.

Installation went fairly well. Put dehumidifier in one day, and ran electrical and plumbing the next day. The dehumidifier runs alot quieter than the stand alone unit we had. So far I like it. Shipping was alot though.

Once Alene explained how the check filter works and how to reset the unit, everything works great. The unit performs really well and we've been happy with it for the first year in use.

Great unit. Works great very user friendly. Easy to install. The shipping speed was awesome will definitely use this product again.

Had a little trouble ordering a unit and Daniel in the office reached out and took care of everything for me. Have a wall mount dehumidifier up and running in a tenants home that we manage and it is working great. Will order from them again

Had a great experience with this company answering my questions and purchasing the product. I've used several other dehu's in the past and this is by far the best of the group. It has lasted longer than all the others and works great. Highly recommend!!

I would not recommend buying the IW-25 dehumidifier. I have owned this dehumidifier for 3 years and live in the Southeast. It was installed in a 200 square foot downstairs finished bedroom. It continuously struggled to maintain humidity levels under 55% in the humid months - without dehumidification this room averaged 70% humidity levels. Not only did it struggle with dehumidifying this small room, the dehumidifier broke every year that I owned it. I meticulously maintained and cleaned the dehumidifier as recommended by the manufacturer. The first year I owned it, it stopped working after a few months of use. It was warrantied and a new dehumidifier was sent out. The following year when the humid months came, the dehumidifier broke again. Still under warranty, I had to ship on my dime ($150) for the dehumidifier to be repaired. Repair was under warranty and covered by Innovative Dehumidifiers. After this repair, the refurbished dehumidifier lasted 6 months before it quit working again. You will not get longevity out of this dehumidifier. Innovative Dehumidifiers claims their dehumidifiers last 10+ years. I doubt that as I could only get about 6 months of use each year before it needed repairs. Now just outside of its 2 year warranty period, Innovative Dehumidifiers wants $225 for repairs + $150 to ship. Considering the price tag on this dehumidifier you would expect them to stand behind their product. The Innovative Dehumidifier sales rep did a poor job of acknowledging my concerns about their product’s continuous failures and she even claimed that elevated VOCs in my home caused the dehumidifier to fail. I confirmed this was an unfounded and ridiculous claim by contacting the energy auditor of my home, 2 local HVAC contractors and 2 different major dehumidifier companies in the US. All said they had never heard of elevated VOCs causing dehumidifier failure. It was more or less a cop out by Innovative Dehumidifiers to push blame on the dehumidifier’s failure on me, the customer. So, I would highly recommend not purchasing this dehumidifier. Not only does it perform poorly when it is working but it will more than likely cause you headache with persistent failure.
