Mike Alamillo was a wonderful person! I pestered him for prices and model numbers for HVAC equipment and he patiently supplied me with information. (I suggest that we customers do our research before we pester contractors. ;-)) He and his crew were very polite, very professional, and did an outstanding job. I'd recommend SW Heating & AC to anyone!

No terrible experience. I contracted for a mini split system, one day install. It went on for 5 days never completed. Tried to get the owned to finish the job, he told me he wasn't going to and left me with a nonfunctioning system. Called two other companies to get a quote to fix the mess that I was left with. Nothing was wired correctly all the refrigerant had escaped the system. One of the outdoor compressors wasn't bolted to the bracket and could have fallen off. One air handler had pulled from the wall in my bedroom. I was told it would be a minimum of 5K to repair the system if nothing was damaged. The system basically has to be removed and reinstalled. So, I'm out $12,695. to Dr. flow and now I'm looking at another 5K to get the system repaired. I'm sure Mike sleeps well and is having a good laugh over this. One other thing. Don't rely on any of these sites. I'm sure all of the good reviews come from friends of the owner. Go with well-established companies.

Michael Saka is a liar, thief, and cannot be trusted. He demanded that I pay him in full, in advance, for an HVAC installation in my home via a Zelle request and PayPal friends/family link so that he could get the funds instantly and 'buy the equipment' immediately to install 2 days later. He never showed, rescheduled on me three times, again never showing up, and is now not returning my outreach to return the full funds back, nor Angie's List's outreach. He has been removed from the Angie's List website due to fraudulent services. Do not trust him. He is a crook.

I am a first time Angie s List user. I used your site to find a professional HVAC installer in the NYC area to come and replace my existing split unit and add a second blower. Your site recommended several companies to me. I spoke to many of them on the phone to get estimates. On July 19th I went with Dr Flow HVAC, owned by Michael Saka. He gave me a total quote of $13,062 for the installation. He told me that he would need to be paid in cash upfront in order to expedite the service. I told him I needed to put it on a credit card which did not make him happy. He said he needed at least $1000 in cash immediately and the rest could be put on a credit card. I sent him 1k via Zelle, and he then sent me an invoice for $7,500 via a PayPal business invoice. I immediately paid the invoice on my credit card. He confirmed receipt. He then called me back 30 mins later and said that the payment via PayPal business would not clear his bank account for at least 4-5 business days, and if I wanted the AC immediately I would need to pay him via his other PayPal account, and list it as friends/family so that he can receive the cash immediately. In a rush as I was panicking and wanted my home air conditioned again, I said yes. He refunding me the initial $7,500 via his PayPal business account and sent me a new request, via his personal email account, listing it as friends/family and put in the notes that it was a wedding gift . I did not notice this note until last night when I realized this was all fraud. He received my money via his personal PayPal account and told me he would be at my apt on Tuesday AM July 22nd to install. Tuesday in canceled on me, saying that he had a family emergency, saying he needed to reschedule for Thursday the 24th. On the 24th he pretended to be on his way all day and never showed, blaming it on other work emergencies and traffic. He rescheduled for Friday the 25th. He repeated the same process yesterday saying he would be there in an hour, all day long, until we reached 7pm Friday night. Around 7pm I knew this wasn t real and demanded a refund. He told me that the parts are nonrefundable. This was stipulated nowhere in our invoice or communication. I told him he would need to return the full amount to me or I would report him to the authorities. I have reached out to him multiple times since via text and phone, he has been completely non responsive. I would like a full refund of $8500 immediately and he should be removed from your site. This is a massive scam and so unprofessional.

Mike is a Navien certified tech and came out same day to help me with my tankless water heater. Mike is able to detect issues or deficiencies others might not by virtue of his skill and Navien certification. He was able to diagnose the issue with the information I gave him over the phone and confirmed the issue when he inspected the unit in person. Mike is very knowledgeable, I appreciate the fact that he was willing to help out on a Sunday night when most in the trade seem closed or unavailable. I wholeheartedly and confidently recommend Dr. Flow HVAC. Thanks Mike!

A quick summary about Mike - I found him on the internet - he came asap to assess the job (an emergency boiler replacement) and promised a conclusive result at a very reasonable price. He delivered on that promise. The long story short is that he is meticulous, knowledgeable and extremely qualified to handle your HVAC needs. I would definitely use him again.

I believe Mike means well. He responds quickly to text messages. Unfortunately he pushed the appointment we had scheduled, for 5pm on a Monday, to 7pm, then 9pm, then 12am, and then didn't show. On Tuesday he said he could come at 5pm again and I gave him another chance. The same thing happened: it was pushed to 8pm, then 10pm, then 12am, and didn't show. Regrettably I had to switch to another service.
