Be careful with financial transactions and billing, and make sure you keep track of your security deposit! I hired Davis In-Home Care to provide home care services for my 86 year old mother in October of 2014. At that time I paid Davis In-Home Care a security deposit in the amount of $1150. I discontinued the home care services in April of 2015 when my mother passed away, but Davis In-Home Care did not refund the $1150 security deposit, they kept it. 10 years later (Yes, TEN YEARS!!) in June of 2025 Davis In-Home Care finally refunded the $1150 security deposit. Note Mr. Drew Davis the owner never apologized for keeping my $1150 for 10 years; he simply said ‘it was an accounting error.’ My family spent over $10,000 with this organization and sent them several referrals. What a terrible way to treat customers.

We started looking for Help several years ago when my husband‘s Parkinson’s became more than I could handle by myself. We said we were looking for a male helper to work part time, and everyone told us that that was not possible because men wanted to work full-time. Somehow or other we found davis and drew came to our home and talked to us for an hour about what we needed and who we were and then he sent us Paul. Paul was terrific. He was helpful, kind thoughtful, and turned out to be a great part of our family. He was with us for a little more than a year and then decided to get married and moved to the East Coast. We were devastated, but drew sent us To, another wonderful addition to our family. Tom is working a few more hours, but still not quite full-time. He is thoughtful caring Helpful. He even stayed with us in the hotel when we had to move out of our house for six weeks when Edison cut off all the power in our area ( we live in the landslide area.) He’s been with us for quite a while and has adapted as my husband‘s needs have changed. I just can’t say enough about how helpful davis has been when we needed help. Davis In-Home Care, Inc provides truly thoughtful assistance with in home care needs. We were very fortunate to find this service to help with our mother’s home care. The owner, Drew Davis, is a very good listener and has a personal passion for offering great help after needing home care for his parents. I called Davis In-Home Care first in my search because I thought it was significant that he put his own name on this business and it seems to me that this is a part of what he is offering to our community to make it a better place. Needing home care can be part of a stressful time, but I found talking to Drew about the help we needed was a stress reliever.

We used Davis in Home Care. It was a wonderful experience since we had NG the care giver. NG is profssional, caring, easy to work with and is a great cook. Healthier than we usually cook. My roommate is legal blind and broke her leg in a fall in the bathroom. She was in a boot for 8 weeks and NG made this all bearable and easy to cope. Drew Davis and his team are so helpful and caring and we will use them again if the situation arrives.

We were looking for in home care for my 90 year old mother. I was a little nervous about the situation because of a bad experience with my father about 15 years ago. A good friend of mine gave me a referral for Drew at Davis In-Home Care. Drew went out of his way to arrange care for my mother within a few days. The care plan that Drew put together along with the 2 in home care specialists have been outstanding. I do not believe that situation could be better for my mother and I am extremely happy. They are better than I could imagine. I sincerely appreciate they care and companionship they give my mother.

I am grateful to Davis-In-Home Care. When I registered, Drew said he would find the right caregiver. My expectations were exceeded. I am comfortable leaving my 97-year-old husband with the caregiver that Drew provided. He is well trained, reliable, and relates to my husband. Best of all, my husband is happy, and I am able to enjoy walking on the beach, going to lunch with friends, etc.

I'm writing a second recommendation for Davis In Home Care because my spell checker automatically turned Davis into David when I sent the first review. Our family totally supports Davis In Home Care as the best in home care company in the South Bay. Mr. Davis and the care givers are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, punctual, and I could go on and on but I'll sign off for now.

The owner Drew Davis is a very kind and caring man. He knows what the clients need and is pleasant to work with. The office members are easy to talk to and very friendly and knowledgeable. All of the caregivers are skilled, friendly and caring. A truly exceptional company all around

We hired Davis In-Home Care to keep an eye on my husband for his first three nights following his hip replacement. I was expecting a sweet woman who would keep an ear out for him if and when he got up. Boy, was I underestimating the service. Our care provider was here in plenty of time to be ready when her shift started. She also made sure everything was set before she left in the morning. She kept a detailed log of his waking and pain medications, and was sure he kept hydrated. She was also made sure he was in comfortable positions. And she always made sure he was able to get to and from the bathroom safely. And on top of it all, I really enjoyed talking to her after my husband went to sleep. It was a wonderful experience and worth every penny. She'll be with us again soon for his other hip replacement.

When looking for in home care I contacted Davis In Home Care. Everyone I spoke to was professional and kind. Within just a few days Erika started working for me and did a wonderful job. Thank you Drew and Erika!

Do not hire DHHC for anything other than long term engagements. I used them recently for a 4 day contract involving out patient surgery at Kaiser Permanente, Harbor City, and it was a disaster. In what was clearly a management failure, the owner assigned me an HC person that "turned into a pumpkin" at 5PM the day of surgery because s/he could not deal with overtime. Ultimately Kaiser solved the problem "how do you get home?" as I was officially released at 5:30 pm and DHHC's owner was still "missing in action". The rest of the engagemen passed below expectations. This is not DHHC's market segment. They should avoid it.

Having help for my family as my father in law was on hospice was great, and Drew made sure that the needs would be covered by each caregiver would be able to do what was needed.

We are in our 9th year of service. Mr David is friendly, knowedgable, caring and he supervises a staff of well trained and reliable care givers who are concerned about their clients needs.

I has having some issues with my previous pool service not living up to expectations which is why I contacted Davis Pool. My pool had some algae forming. Wasn't terrible. Easily fixable with chemicals or brushing. Steve checked out my system, gave me a quote, said he could fix the algae issue easily. He said there was nothing wrong with my pool system when he gave me the quote. He came by the first 1-2 weeks in the 6 weeks since I hired him. <br /> The algae got much worse due to lack of visits to service my pool. After repeated times of communicating the issue with Steve, saying it would be fixed and he would service my pool, he still has yet to visit my home. It has been over a month since the last visit to service my pool. He said my pool was stained and all of a sudden on its last legs but that he would visit a few days later to service it. However there has still not been a visit to my pool. I was able to brush algae off myself with a pool brush so it wasn't actually stained. I now need to find a pool service that will actually visit my home weekly and perform the work. <br /> He seems to have too many customers or is too busy to keep up with the work. There is no way he has been to my home in a long time with the state my pool is in now. It is ten times worse than with my last company. And now I have the hassle of finding another company to service my pool. <br />

They have been constantly late; I have had to repeatedly call them to see when they were going to show up. They would say they were going to show up but they did not show up so I would have to call back. It has been about two months and I still am not satisfied with their punctuality, responsiveness and the excuses that they have for not showing up on their regularly scheduled date.

I was told that the process of getting the pool back in line was going to take some time, I understood that... so I thought. We have a salt pool and over the course the month the salt generator/computer was not showing signs of improvement. I would arrive home in the afternoon after the service had been completed on the pool and there was still debris(leaves) at the bottom of the pool, and I thought after service that the pool should be as clean as possible. I evidently didn't understand the process and didn't feel comfortable proceeding any further.

My previous pool tech sold me a pool pump but did not connect it properly nor did he inform me that my spa and waterfall would not work with the new device. Steve worked tirelessly to try to get the pump to function properly. He has been providing his excellent services for a year now and I highly recommend his company.

Been with them for about two years. Just stopped showing up. No calls, no letters. I guess no recession for them. Update 2/16/09: Please add: Mr. Davis did call me, offered an explanation, accepted full responsibility, apologized, and offered to make things right. I told him I was willing to give him another chance. As a consequence, I would move my evaluations from F category to C category pending future performance.

Steve was on time and friendly. I just bought the house and didn't know how to use the pool equipment and he taught me what each thing did. I appreciated his input and knowledge. I liked him so much that I signed up for monthly service with no worries. I told him I found him on Angie's list and he said he recently got another customer from Angie's List.

They always come on time and there have never been any problems. They get the work done and the pool looks great. I am pleased to have the service and that they are so reliable.

Less than 3 years after this company installed 2 high efficiency gas furnaces at my home, both started leaking and one stopped working entirely. The parts inside rusted as a result of this company a) installing the fresh air intake directly above the gas valve and inducer motor and b) not putting drains on the intakes to prevent moisture from entering the furnaces. Instead of admitting his improper installation, he simply put his head in the sand like an ostrich. No I do not recommend this company!
